Providence is calling for a Workers' Compensation Compliance Consultant PSJH . This position works 100% remotely so candidates may reside in Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon or California.

We are seeking a Workers' Compensation Compliance Consultant PSJH to be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of worker safety programs for PSJH. The position actively directs the planning, development, review, analysis, and placement of Workers' Compensation coverage and Compliance requirements for the System's multiple jurisdictions. Manages and directs key personnel and business partners in utilization and delivery of system programs involving OSHA compliance at the State and Federal levels. The position applies a large breadth of knowledge in order to support system-related goals and objectives. This position maintains positive, professional relationships with business partners as well as external and internal customers.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Manages and collaborates with Workers’ Compensation, Safety, Injury Prevention & Ergonomics teams as necessary to develop, edit, upload and manage content on Department intranet SharePoint sites and other electronic media to ensure content is appropriate, timely, and accurate.
Manages self-insurance reporting compliance and filings, collaborates with both internal and external business partners to obtain and audit necessary data to ensure regulatory compliance with filing requirements for all System business entities. Audits all data supplied by business partners for accuracy and trending.
Collaborates with internal and external business partners to supply and analyze necessary data and information for audits by Self-Insurance Regulators and Insurance Carriers. Serves as point contact for the organization with government entities, brokers and key business partner contacts.
Directs and coordinates with external business partners in placement and maintenance of excess, large-deductible, guaranteed cost and monopolistic state fund insurance coverage to maintain necessary Workers’ Compensation coverage as required for all System Caregivers.
Manages System OSHA regulatory reporting and filing compliance, coordinates and provides direction to other team members as well as other internal and external business partners. Educates internal and external business partners on regulatory requirements as necessary, and serves as subject matter expert for the Department.
Manages SDS and HazCom Compliance program with both internal and external business partners.
Travel approximately 10%.
Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Healthcare discipline, Business Administration, or other closely related field or equivalent educ/experience
Workers’ Compensation Professional – State Specific. OR one of the following:
5 years experience involving Workers’ Compensation across multiple jurisdictions, Data Management and Analysis, Risk Management, and/or project coordination
Experienced with supporting workers’ compensation and safety regulatory compliance
Experience at a Corporate or System level
Knowledge of OSHA regulations
