Providence Health & Services Alternative Investment Director in Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an Alternative Investment Director to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking an Alternative Investment Director who will provide key support to the Chief Investment Officer and team through sourcing of private equity, private credit, private real estate, private infrastructure, hedge funds, and venture capital investment opportunities, periodic review of existing holdings This role will also be responsible for new asset class analysis and determining impact on System investment portfolios. The officer will utilize portfolio analysis to conduct and report on portfolio characteristics and evaluate existing and potential new investment managers across all alternative asset classes. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and provide detailed financial analysis and review to the Investment Review Committee (IRC) as well as other System stakeholders.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Actively monitor existing portfolio funds and recommend, as appropriate, follow-on fund commitments or an exit of an investment.
Maintain a wide network of contacts to source new investment ideas and funds for consideration by the Chief Investment Officer and portfolio team
Prepare and distribute portfolio summary to investment committee members (investments at cost, IRR, TVPI, PME and other associated metrics).
Review funding request forms and monitor the approval and ultimate funding of investments.
Prepare or assist with preparation of quarterly and annual valuation reports, including supporting documentation and analysis related to fair value.
Monitor manager fee arrangements versus peer funds and versus potential value creation.
Collaborates broadly with the CIO and investment colleagues to help achieve the competitive long run risk-adjusted returns for the various investment pools
Maintain professional network with other similarly situated investors and share best practices for the benefit of the collaborating organizations.
Represent Providence as applicable on Limited Partner Advisory Committees (LPACs) as well as industry groups.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
10 years experience in investment management, finance, accounting, healthcare investment banking, venture capital, or health care.
- CPA and/or CFA.
