Providence is calling a Rehab Outpatient Clinical Services Manager (PT, OT or SLP) - (Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Day, 1.0. Exempt.) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. As the Rehab Outpatient Clinical Services Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Rehabilitation Services in the coordination of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at PSMMC and PMG. You will participate in the development and implementation of hospital and departmental goals, objectives, and standards for the provision of therapy services. As the manager you will coordinate daily operations through close interaction with leads, colleagues, staff, physicians, and medical offices. You will provide leadership, management, and direction for all areas within outpatient rehabilitation. With director support, as the manager you are responsible for interviewing, selecting, orienting, supervising and evaluating caregivers. You will also issue coaching and disciplinary actions when warranted according to organizational policies and procedures. As the manager you will be responsible for coordinating with supporting departments, managing change, and fostering teamwork to improve care for the patient.
Additional responsibilities will include providing input into the budgetary planning process; contributing to cost effectiveness of services and programs provided by the department; communicating for improvement; maintaining positive relations with all customers; and ensures staff and departmental compliance with annual regulatory audits, accreditation requirements, and policy updates.
In this position you will also:
Deliver cost effective services for patients/clients who have individual needs and expectations for care and services.
Respond to and communicate with a variety of physicians and APPs with individual styles, practices, treatment protocols and expectations.
Decrease costs while maintaining quality service.
Respond to changes in Health Care delivery system.
Process information accurately, thoroughly, and quickly amidst a variety of environmental distractions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduated of an accredited school of the major Rehabilitation Therapy Disciplines: Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy; Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
Current Washington State License in one of the major Rehabilitation Therapy Disciplines (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology).
Current BLS – Healthcare provider (must be AHA accredited)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Masters or Doctoral degree preferred.
5 years of clinical experience in hospital based, interdisciplinary, inpatient or outpatient therapy service preferred with additional 2-3 years of leadership responsibilities.
