Process Improvement Coach - Strategic Management Services Learning and Formation Team at Providence Oregon Regional Shared Services (NE Portland)
To provide leadership for the Providence Health System of Oregon using LEAN and Six Sigma methodology to identify and implement breakthrough strategies across institutional and functional boundaries that result in significant and documented improvement in healthcare and service delivery. The person in this position will take the lead in the development of measurement strategies, manage reporting systems, auditing processes, and will provide consulting assistance when appropriate. Additionally, a person in this role will be asked to teach process improvement tools (CAP, WorkOut, LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.) to other stakeholders. The Strategic Management Services division supports the mission and vision of Providence Oregon by leading and/or assisting in development of strategic plans, annual operating plans, business plans, market and environmental assessments, facilitating project management governance from the business-decision stage to final implementation and benefits gathering, deployment of effective process improvement, change management strategies and executes other strategic and ad hoc projects throughout the state of Oregon.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration/Management, Industrial Engineering, -OR- related field -OR- ten (10) years of related work experience and/or military service in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
Six Sigma and/or LEAN certification
Three (3) years direct work experience in process/quality improvement, preferably in a healthcare setting
Experience in managing projects with multiple project teams, product development life-cycle, -OR- quality life-cycle
Participation in one -OR- more diverse and complex projects
