Providence Health & Services Pharmacy Technician-Quality Control - Pips Sterile Compounding in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician - Quality Control (Pips Sterile Compounding, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Tukwila, Washington. The Pharmacy Technician-Quality Control is responsible for supporting and executing daily quality activities associated with compounded sterile preparations in a 503b FDA regulated facility that distributes to sites within the Providence St. Joseph Health System following cGMP-503b requirements.
In this position you will:
Working in close collaboration with the Manufacturing Pharmacist (Quality Assurance) and under the supervision of the Manufacturing Manager, performs all day-to-day quality control activities.
Collect routine environmental samples, monitors incubation and initiates documentation.
Monitor production environmental and personnel samples that are under incubation, initiates documentation and ensures incubation at designated temperature for the appropriate amount of time.
Receive and inspects all incoming materials and supplies to determine if they are appropriate for compounding sterile products.
Perform audits and data collection for the purpose of improving processes and procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of approved pharmacy technician training program
Current certification and license by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
Current National Pharmacy Technician certification, or within 6 months upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Hospital Experience in sterile product preparation
Customer Service Experience
