Providence Health & Services Pharmacist Supervisor in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacist Supervisor (Pharmacy Dept, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Infusion & Pharmacy Services in Tukwila, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all-especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Oversee the oral dose pharmacy department, including but not limited to supervising daily pharmacy operations; coordinating the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, and performance evaluation of staff; scheduling staff; coordinating with PEP, SNF, and hospice to assure safe and effective services are provided to patients under the highest of professional standards
Be responsible for implementing Collaborative Drug Therapy Agreements; interpretation, compounding, and formulating all physician prescriptions; actively monitoring therapy; collaborating with prescribers on appropriate medication therapy and care plans to achieve the intended therapeutic outcomes.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Degree in Pharmacy Practice from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Current Washington State Registered Pharmacist license
2 years of experience as a pharmacist in retail or long-term care services
Working knowledge and skills using a variety of pharmacy information systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Residency in pharmacy practice
Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) or other formally recognized specialty certification applicable to geriatrics and long-term care pharmacy
1 year of supervisory experience
