Providence is calling a Manager HME Logistics and Respiratory Therapy (1.0 FTE/ Day SHIFT) to work in Hme Tukwila PSCS Divisional Services in Tukwila, WA.

The Logistics and Respiratory Therapy Manager of Providence Home Medical Equipment (HME) provides leadership, management, and direction to ensure efficient and safe provision of durable medical equipment, home respiratory therapy, and home oxygen to patients in their place of residence including residential and long term care settings. This position oversees and leads people, operations, and facilities supporting HME Distribution and Logistics, Dispatch, Repair and Maintenance, Oxygen Trans-fill and Respiratory Therapy across multiple sites within the PSJH service area. This position represents HME in clinical best known practice inter-disciplinary work groups and councils.
In this position you will:
Leads and engages Supervisors, Coordinators and caregivers in delivering outstanding care and services to Providence HME patients and customers.
Develops, manages and leads HME Respiratory Therapy and Distribution/Logistics services ensuring unique patient, clinical and referral source needs are met while maintaining productivity objectives. Oversees and leads other related ancillary services. Establishes effective training, competency development, and quality assurance programs that ensure high reliability in patient safety, caregiver safety, patient education and best known clinical standards.
Develops, manages, and leads HME repair, maintenance, biomed and oxygen transfill services in support of multiple sites within the PSJH service area. Develops and implements an equipment management program to schedule, document, and manage repair and maintenance of home medical equipment, ensuring quality and service metrics are met. Participates and advises in evaluation of new equipment. Leads investigations and reporting for medical device-related incidents.
Manages departmental activities to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements including The Joint Commission, FDA, ODOT, OSHA, and all applicable state and federal rules, regulations, or law. Designs and implements departmental procedures to ensure ministry, organizational, third party payer, state, federal, and TJC policy and regulatory requirements are maintained.
Provides managerial leadership and directs the selection, supervision and evaluation of staff. Conducts or oversees performance evaluations in a timely manner, and initiates and implements disciplinary actions as warranted. Resolves grievances and other sensitive personnel matters. Provides training and motivation to promote full use of individual capabilities and to thrive in a culture of change and growth.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent educ/experience
Two-year degree and equivalent experience.
5 years experience in Home Medical Equipment operations including distribution, respiratory care and/or logistics
5 years supervisory/management level responsibility in related healthcare field.
In compliance with the Providence Health & Services-OR Human Resources policy #302 Background Checks, a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
