Hospice nurses will tell you what a privilege it is to care for patients at end of life and support family members who are coping with loss. We focus on patient’s hopes and wishes to improve their quality life.
As a hospice aide, you will work closely with a team of caregivers to meet the individual care needs of each patient you serve. You will travel to your patients’ homes within King or Pierce Counties to provide care.

Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of a certified nursing assistant course or equivalent training
One (1) year previous home health/hospice experience required as a nurse’s aide, hospice aide, orderly, or related experience in an acute, rehabilitative, or long term care facility, or hospice organization
Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) in the state of Washington
Current Healthcare Provider CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
Providence Hospice of Seattle is a not-for-profit, community-based hospice ministry serving patients in their places of residence throughout King, and Pierce Counties in Washington state.
