Providence Health & Services Clinical Manager - Hospice in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Manager (Hospice, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE, $10K sign on bonus) to Providence Hospice of Seattle in Tukwila, Washington. In this position you will:
Provide clinical oversight to interdisciplinary team members for designated team with the support of a discipline supervisor as required for discipline-specific input.
Triage patient’s needs and lead staff in clinical problem-solving as needed; assign clinicians to patients; oversee daily assignment of clinicians visits that need to be covered when primary clinicians is out of office or unavailable.
Identify staffing and staff development needs; work with Director for staffing approval or otherwise address and resolve issues.
Hire, schedule and manage the performance of the assigned team, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, home health aides, and other clinical disciplines.
Responsible for understanding patients’ insurance benefits and managing care in a cost effective manner; and approve expenses for care.
Ensure regulatory compliance for assigned Care team; participate in development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance in accordance with standard PHOS procedures, Medicare Conditions of Participation and other regulatory agencies.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in a health care related field
Master's Degree required IF social worker or spiritual care
Current Washington State professional licensure or certification
Current Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Current Washington State Driver's license and automobile insurance
3 years clinical experience in chosen field
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Hospice certification or advanced certification
Prior hospice experience
A minimum of 3 years staff supervision experience
