Providence is calling a Supply Chain Technician I Lead, to Providence Health & Services in Torrance, CA.

We are seeking a Supply Chain Technician I Lead to assisting Management in conducting daily operations. The Lead is not a manager, but does provide operational leadership to other staff members in areas specifically identified when the role assignment is made.

The responsibilities of the Lead role will vary with each specific assignment to meet operational needs. Typically the Lead will fall into one of two broad categories: 1) Lead, of a team function or 2) Lead, of a group of staff at a specified site. The assignment of a Lead role can be adjusted, re- assigned, or removed at management discretion as operational needs change.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Makes work assignments to team members and tracks completion of tasks.

  • Schedules and coordinates team or other resources.

  • Serves as a point of escalation for operational issues for his/her team or site.

  • Oversees operational processes for his/her team or staff at his/her site.

  • Identifies, analyzes, suggests and implements improvements to processes.

  • Participates in writing, implementing and monitoring operational processes.

  • Conducts meetings with staff.

  • Provides input for employee performance appraisals.

  • Provides leadership in staff development and team building.

  • Performs other duties as requested by manager.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and directly applicable related work experience.

  • Healthstream Customer Service Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.

  • Basic computer and software skills.

  • Ability to understand and utilize inventory and distribution capabilities of MMIS systems.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Relevant experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment.

  • Medical material management experience.
