Providence Health & Services Activities Aide - Transitional Care Center in Torrance, California
Providence is calling a Activities Aide for our Transitional Care Center ( Per Diem / Day Shift ) to Providence Little Company of Mary Transitional Care Center Torrance in Torrance, CA.
* Must be available 2 days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and every other weekend
In this position you will:
Assist the Activities Assistant and/or Activities Coordinator with planning, coordination and implementation of the Activity programs. Activities shall be done on a daily basis and shall make every effort to meet patient’s needs and interests.
Respond appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned (Young Adult through Geriatric).
Required qualifications for this position include:
Fluent ability to understand oral and written english directives.
Knowledge and experience with basic computer skills
The ability to perform all physcial requirement pertaining to delegated tasks as defined on RU-91 form
Ability to establish and maintain a courteous and coorperative, service orientated working relationship with patients, families and co workers.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Completed a 36 hour Activities Director Certification Course or interaction with patients as an Activities Aide or Director a huge plus.
