We are seeking a Strategic Outreach Specialist - Marketing who will be responsible for delivering business value through effective provider recruitment marketing support within Provider Services and Development. The Strategic Outreach Specialist role provides copywriting, database information management, candidate sourcing and strategic planning as part of the marketing team supporting provider recruitment for the Providence system. This position helps ensures a continual pool of high-quality physician candidates by supporting CRM database optimization, print and online advertising, sourcing, email and direct mail campaigns, conference planning, collateral development, and residency and fellowship outreach.

The Strategic Outreach Specialist - Marketing is also responsible for gathering and analyzing input from recruiters and PS&D colleagues as marketing and advertising language is developed and strategies, objectives, and tactics are pursued. These responsibilities span the Providence St. Joseph Health facilities throughout all regions. All duties are performed in a manner that promotes team success.

The position is also responsible for performing independent and objective analysis of all advertising and sourcing needs and managing support projects with ample communication, collaboration and good judgment, ensuring project deliverables are complete and on-time.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

Writing and Editing:

  • Serves as lead copywriter and editor for online and print advertising, email and other marketing, and internal communications.

  • Works directly with recruiters and other PS&D colleagues to ensure written material is compelling, accurate, grammatically correct and adherent to brand guidelines. While this responsibility may not be a primary function for each Specialist, it is an essential functional capability for anyone in this role, including in a backup capacity for another member of the team.

Database Management:

  • Accountabilities include leading role in strategizing, planning, implementing and documenting marketing processes and tools in the CRM; training marketing peers and recruiters on CRM processes and tools; managing the request-for-recruitment process, receiving recruiter requests to advertise new searches, writing ad language, and coordinating with recruiters for approval, changes, updates, etc.; and coordinating with the person responsible for placing ads with vendors.

Email Marketing Program:

  • Manages the planning, scheduling, creation and performance analysis of HTML email campaigns, and provides lists of “warm leads” to recruiters after each campaign.

Sourcing:

  • Helps to lead the strategizing, planning and implementing of sourcing processes for provider recruitment activities. Also provides knowledge and expertise in sourcing to aid and train recruiters on the sourcing process.

Conferences/Career Fairs:

  • Helps to lead decision-making and implementation of ideas related to the conference/career fair outreach program, including outreach to attendees before, during and after conferences/fairs through flyers and other collateral, lead-capturing technology, and email campaigns.

Research and Analysis:

  • Manages functions related to performance measurement and analytics, and conducts research leading to recommendations on strategies and tactics to increase effectiveness of marketing.

General:

  • Initiates and supervises test and pilot projects as needed in order to improve workflow efficiency and data sharing.

  • Demonstrates effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, stakeholders, other department leaders and peers, and vendors in order to maximize productivity and positive employee and customer relations.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology -OR- equivalent educ/experience

  • 3 years - Combined experience in professional writing, database adaministration and / or project management in a healthcare setting

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 years - Marketing, advertising, vendor negotiations, data management, efficiency testing, managing complex projects

  • 1 year - Strategic project planning

  • Certified Avature Specialist within 4 months of hire
