Providenceis calling a highly experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to fill a fulltime, night shift opportunity at theProvidence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.

Providence Tarzana Medical Center is seeking a

Registered Nurse that is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and

providing high quality care in the Emergency Department. Located on the 1st

floor of the hospital, the ED is a 21 bed unit providing services for patients

of all ages, is approved for EDAP and is a STEMI program

provider.

In this position you will:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implementand evaluate patient’s care to achieve patient goals andto optimize outcomes.

  • Effectively advocate for ethical andholistic care to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, values and beliefs ofthose we serve.

  • Foster a learning environment forpatient/families, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team includingstudents.

  • Align practice with safety andquality. Be accountable for safety, identify and correct problems.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development; promote aculture of inquiry that explores, integrates and disseminates research andevidence based practice.

  • Lead andcoordinate teams, delegate, coordinate care and collaborate with others as equalmembers of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursingknowledge.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this positioninclude:

  • Nursing degree/diploma uponhire

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) or higher required within three(3) years or 20 years of RN experience

  • Active California state RNlicense

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for HealthcareProviders from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC) orMilitary Training Network (MTN).

  • Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification fromthe American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network(MTN).

  • Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military TrainingNetwork (MTN).

  • Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)Certification.

  • MOAB I/II required within 30 days to 150 days ofhire.

  • Twelve (12) months acute careexperience working with the patient population similar to department of hire orcompletion of the specialty residency located at thatfacility.

Preferred qualifications for this positioninclude:

  • Bachelors of Nursing degree(BSN)

  • National certification in area ofspecialty
