Our Student NAC Training Program is a unique introduction to a career in health care through Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. Allowing participants to gain on-the-job work experience, classroom education and clinical training, this program accelerates your career and provides an excellent foundation for a variety of health care roles and specialties. Since our launch in early 2019, we’ve launched hundreds of new healthcare careers. Now, we are expanding the program with continuous cohorts of 10 trainees per group and looking to add more opportunities for you.

After completing the program and obtaining your certification, you’re eligible to apply to any open Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nurse Assistant Certified (NAC) positions. Our goal is 100% employment at Providence for all successful students. How it works
The program includes 150 hours (roughly 6-weeks) of didactic and clinical rotation, with participants working as a student nursing assistant in the float pool for two months. After that, they’re you’re encouraged to apply for positions within Sacred Heart, Holy Family, St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute or Steven’s County Providence Hospitals. Once hired, 100 percent of education expenses are reimbursed – including tuition, school-related taxes, books, CPR training, lab materials and HIV/AIDS training.
Get paid to learn
The Student NAC Training Program is a paid, full-time position. Participants work 40 hours per week on a patterned rotation which includes every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday.
Do I qualify?
The prerequisites for applying to the program include:
- At least 18 years of age at the beginning date of the Student NAC Training Program
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two months of successful employment, paid/unpaid internship or volunteer program in good standing
