Providence Health & Services Utility Worker - Facilities in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Utility Worker - Facilities (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
*The schedule for this position is 7:00AM until 3:30PM Monday through Friday but does provide on-call coverage from November through March.*
In this position you will:
Work on a variety of equipment and in various environments within the buildings as conditions require
Be responsible for various tasks such as changing lights, changing air filters, minor plumbing & toilet repairs, battery testing, ordering parts, cleaning of mechanical spaces, assist building engineers with major repairs & projects, and other duties as assigned
Be required to work outside on the grounds when conditions warrant, such as snow removal, lawn & garden care and parking garage cleaning.
Perform assigned periodic maintenance tasks
Possess a valid driver’s license
Two (2) years in mechanical/electrical/electronic related field
Able to perform occasional arduous tasks while exposed to extreme weather conditions
Possess ability to operate and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment
High School graduate or equivalent
Professional grounds maintenance experience
