Providence Health & Services Transplant Data Coordinator in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Transplant Program Assistant ( Kidney Transplant , Day Shift, 0.8 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Support research activities.
Process invoices and Epic charge entry, and Kronos timekeeping.
Exercise independent judgment in patient triage to nurses and physicians as each situation declares in a first-line transplant/mechanical heart care service.
Act to solidify interdisciplinary communication whenever necessary to advocate for the patient.
Provide accurate and timely response to patients, physicians, insurance providers and internal care delivery system.
Represent Transplant Services and/or manager as necessary.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School graduate or equivalent
Either 2-year college degree or 3 years experience in the healthcare sector
Proficiency with medical terminology
Highly proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Knowledge of EPIC is a big plus.
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and high level formatting
1 year experience at the medical secretary/administrative assistant level or above in a medical setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
College/business courses in MS Office and computers and/or medical terminology
Experience in a Transplant/Mechanical Heart setting
