Providence Health & Services Pharmacy Technician in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician (Pharmacy Infusion, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Be responsible for assisting the pharmacists and nurses in providing pharmaceutical and supply services to home infusion patients.
Perform non-discretionary functions, which include IV admixture, accurate distribution of medications and supplies, and appropriately maintaining patient records. These duties are performed under the immediate supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist.
Sterile and accurate admixture of IV products in both horizontal and vertical airflow environments as necessary. This would include:
Reconstitution of drugs.
Calculation of drug volumes required to deliver correct dosages.
Measurement of dosages.
Transfer of drug to appropriate volume and type of solution for administration.
Labeling product according to policy.
Maintain patient profiles and medication lists by documenting services provided.
Coordinate delivery with patient, warehouse, and delivery service under direct supervision of pharmacist, nurse or dietitian.
The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety, be adept at task-switching in a fast-paced environment, and thrive on a team dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.
Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends; 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8am-7pm.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of approved pharmacy technician training program
Current certification and license by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a Level A Pharmacy Technician
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Customer service experience
