Providence Health & Services Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist (Clinical Laboratory Services Dept, Day Shift, 0.8 FTE) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Accepts and supports the mission and values of Holy Family Hospital.
Supports the Performance Improvement process.
Follows policies related to work attendance and dress code.
Maintains a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Considers individual needs in communication with and assessment and treatment of patients and staff, including ethical, cultural, psychosocial, religious, and age-specific aspects, to include all ages.
Supports patient rights and the organization’s code of ethical behavior.
Follow the principles and requirements outlined in the Commitments & Compliance Integrity Program Employee Handbook and any other organizational or departmental materials related to compliance with laws and regulatory requirements.
Performs the following patient care activities/treatments according to departmental policies, procedures, and protocols:
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED.
Documentation of higher education on file.
Ability to write, read, and converse in the English language.
MA-Phlebotomist state license required or must qualify, apply for and obtain the MA-P license within 3 months of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Laboratory or related science experience.
Working experience or internship in the clinical laboratory, physician’s office, plasma center, or other related business.
