Providence Enteral Team Coordinator in Spokane, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling an Enteral Team Coordinator ( Pips East Enteral Therapy , Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Respond to incoming calls from patients, families, and referral sources regarding patient supply needs and initiation/discontinuation of enteral services.

  • Collect sufficient and appropriate referral information to determine a prospective patients service needs.

  • Maintain close communications with clinical liaisons, hospital discharge planners, hospices and other referral sources in relationship to issues around patient referrals and discharge plans.

  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility on all new referrals.

  • Perform monthly verification of DSHS coverage for long term Medicaid patients.

  • Responsible for creating Cost Disclosure/Advance beneficiary notices for Medicare patients and tracking for signed form.

  • Responsible for generating benefits letter to inform patient/responsible party of financial responsibility and sending to patient.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

  • Pharmacy Assistant Tech B required within 60 days of hire.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in home infusion or home health.

  • Customer service experience.

  • Insurance verification and reimbursement experience.

  • 1 year experience in medical office setting.

  • Computer experience with Electronic Medical Records, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
