Providence Health & Services Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) (Occupational Therapy Dept, Day Shift, 0 FTE/On call) to Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Provide occupational therapy treatment procedures, case management, and carry out discharge plans as specified by established treatment plans.
Prepare clients for therapy and transport them to and from therapy areas.
Document all treatment visits, progress notes, and coordination of care contacts.
Function under the direct supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associates degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification in Washington State
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year of experience in an acute care or long-term care facility

Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington is located on the campus of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
