Providence Health & Services Cardiology Clinical Care Coordinator - Heart Institute in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Cardiology Clinical Care Coordinator (Cardiology, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Facilitate the flow of diagnostics testing including echo, nuclear, stress testing etc. through the office. Including billing, entering and coordinating the reading of external studies, answering scheduling questions, collecting orders for testing, correcting documentation errors in reporting, addressing STAT studies, coordinating call backs to referring physicians on diagnostic testing when requested, and monitoring tests are being entered correctly.
Assist with various IT issues as they arise with physicians and staff. This includes printers, locating images, loading computer programs, addressing computer issues, and answering questions about the EMR, Centricity, Meditech, Xcelera and PACs.
Enter scheduling templates in Centricity for diagnostic and nursing staff in addition to Midlevel and Physician providers. This includes building new templates as new scheduling demands arise and managing the appointment types that can be applied on each template. Make scheduling changes to current templates as directed from the Practice Manager or Physician Scheduler.
Work closely with the reading Cardiologists of the day to make sure all studies are read in a timely manner. Brings all external studies and STAT internal studies to the attention of the reading physician.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Degree or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
At least one year experience with Microsoft Office
At least one year experience with Electronic Medical Records Systems. Epic, Meditech, Stentor, Xcelera preferred
