Providence Health & Services Cardiac Sonographer in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Cardiac Sonographer (Spokane Heart Institute, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Perform two-dimensional, M-Mode, Spectra/Doppler, Color Doppler, Tissue Doppler, Strain Imaging, Three-dimensional and Tissue Velocity Imaging.
Perform exercise stress and Dobutamine stress echoes.
Perform appropriate contrast examinations as needed. Communicate preliminary results to physicians when appropriate.
Dispense and charge for all equipment and services utilized in providing patient care; mark fee slip indicating reading physician, diagnosis, and type of service.
Travel to out of town clinics on regular basis and/or to provide coverage as needed.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; graduate of an accredited/approved program for noninvasive cardiovascular echocardiography.
Field of Study: noninvasive cardiovascular echocardiography.
Current BLS – Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited) or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Echo registry must be required within 180 days of hire.
Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably cardiology.
Knowledge of medical terminology and accurate spelling and grammar required.
Computer, keyboarding and telephone skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Vascular ultrasound experience
