In this position you will:
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart in relation to waves, complexes, time and voltage as shown through the conduction system and strip interpretation.
Responsible for providing the highest quality patient care and education by assuring that the needs of the patients, family, physicians, and other health care providers are met in a timely and courteous manner.
Programming and interrogation of pacemakers, defibrillators and implantable loop recorders under the supervision of a cardiologist.
Respond appropriately to all monitor alerts.
Identify and respond to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes by taking the following actions: initiate codes, records rhythms during code, continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias at interval measurements.
Monitor cardiac devices by performing remote monitoring and trans telephonic monitoring (TTMs) checks.
Recognize and troubleshoots monitor problems, identifying the probable causes and seeks solutions to correct the problem.
Complete remote device enrollment and follow up scheduling as required per policies and procedures.
Receive, edit, and distribute arrhythmia transmissions/reports. Monitor inventory of arrhythmia monitors and log when returned.
Enter and track billing process for services provided.
Aware of procedures, add-on procedures and availability of monitors.
Maintain and update patient data using a variety of information systems.
Provide safe and clean environment for patients receiving care.
Rotate daily duties as needed.
Adhere to established company compliance, policies, procedures and protocols
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Associate's Degree in related health field or 4 years of equivalent educ/experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Completion of a Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist program.
Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
Certified Cardiac Device Specialist- Allied Professional by International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE).
Certified as a Medical Assistant with the Washington State Department of Health.
Four (4) years of experience in related field
Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office products
