Providence Health & Services Assistant Nurse Manager - Surgical Acute in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling an Assistant Nurse Manager (OR, Evening, 1.0) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Assist the Nurse Manager to facilitate the implementation of clinical goals/programs, development of staff, productivity management, staff planning and other management activities directed at professional practice.
Participate in the selection and evaluation of unit staff.
Communicate effectively with the Nurse Manager and work cooperatively with the Administrative Supervisor/Director of Nursing in problem-solving opportunities.
May conduct select unit committees, task forces and care conferences.
Utilize age related concepts when communicating with patients and families, administering medications, using medical equipment, participating in diagnostic or other procedures and when teaching patients/families/staff.
Demonstrate independent responsibilities/accountability for the coordination of the unit and occasionally provide direct primary care of patients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington
2 or more years of Registered Nurse acute experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) to be obtained by January 2016
Previous nursing management, leadership (charge, preceptor, etc) experience
Prior RN experience in an acute surgical environment
