Providence Post Anesthesia - Certified Care Associate (NAC or MA) in Spokane Valley, Washington
Providence is calling a Post Anesthesia Care Certified Care Associate (NAC or Medical Assistant Certified) (Ambulatory Surgery Center, Days, Full Time) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane Valley, Washington. In this position you will:
Assist with patient care in all peri-operative areas ( Pre/OR/Post).
Effectively assist in the orientation of patients/families to the Center environment: accurately completes personal inventory record.
Obtain vital signs and accurately records information in the medical record.
Perform ongoing observation of patient’s condition, including patient pain and providing comfort measures, documenting accurately and reporting to RN in a timely manner.
Demonstrate ability to position patients in proper body alignment; inspecting skim for potential areas of breakdown and reporting to RN in a timely manner.
Facilitate efficient turnovers for the Pre-op/PACU and OR suites.
Assist with cleaning and preparing patient bays/rooms between visits.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Successful completion of a Washington State recognized nursing/medical assistant training program
Experience as a Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant, preferably in peri-operative areas
Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington, or Medical Assistant certified through Washington State; required by date of hire
Current BLS- Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited)
