Providence Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Home Health VNA *$3,000 Sign-on Bonus* in Spokane Valley, Washington


Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Home Health Spokane Vna, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence VNA Home Health in Spokane County, Washington. $3,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

In this position you will:

  • Assist in the assessment of physical, psychological and social dimensions of patients, following verification of assessment skills.

  • Assist the RN in planning a formal written plan of care for patients.

  • Directly participate in the implementation of the plan of care.

  • Function within the limits of the Practical Nurse Law, and Homecare nursing policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the evaluation of nursing care; questions and clarifies any procedures, treatments, medications that may not be appropriate for the patients physical/mental status at that time.

  • The Licensed Practical Nurse may administer medications via all routes with the following requirements related to intravenous medication administration.

  • Intravenous medication may be administered by an LPN if they are certified in that skill and on a case by case basis under the supervision of an RN.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program

  • Current Washington State License as a Practical/Vocational Nurse

  • Current Healthcare Provider (CPR) Certification

  • Current Washington State driver’s license and access to daily use of an insured, reliable vehicle

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • At least 1 year of recent hospital, nursing home or home health experience
