Providence is calling a Registered Nurse Team Advisor (Dept, Shift, 0.0) to Providence Seward Mountain Haven in Seward, Alaska.

In this position you will:

  • Direct and supervise the 24-hour care of assigned elders to deliver whole-person care in an innovative elder-directed care model.

  • Implement the federal Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI). Be responsible for the implementation and ongoing evaluation of the elder’s comprehensive plan of care.

  • Use established work systems and processes to facilitate quality of care and quality of life while ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable laws and professional standards of practice.

  • Facilitate effective communication of elder needs and issues to the clinical support team.

  • Supervise Shabazim/Certified Nursing Assistants, RNs and LPNs within 24-hour teams for the assigned group of elders.

  • Foster positive change, professional/program growth and teamwork in an innovative care setting designed to be transformational in the lives of elders and those who care for them.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license by date of hire

  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience

  • Experience in gerontological nursing

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification

  • 1 year of clinical supervisory, management or resource experience

  • Prior experience in a long-term care environment

  • Prior experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) such as EPIC

  • Prior experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Providence Seward Medical and Care Center is a 6-bed critical access hospital and 40-bed long term care facility providing quality health care to residents and visitors. Our team of physicians, nurses, and support staff deliver compassionate, quality care to all patients.
