Lodge Cook - LTC Dietary at Seward Medical Center

Under supervision, this position is primarily responsible for planning, preparing, and serving meals and snacks according to resident dietary plan of care guidelines. Additionally, this position may perform housekeeping related duties and/or participate in other resident services activities as required.

Required qualifications:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA), RQI, upon hire or the ability to accomplish within thirty (30) days of date of hire

  • State of Alaska food handler permit or the ability to attain certification upon hire

  • Completion of State of Alaska approved feeding assistance program within six (6) months of hire

  • ServSafe certification within six (6) months hire

  • 2 years experience in quantity food preparation required, including knowledge of hot and cold food preparation

Preferred qualifications:

  • Vocational/Culinary Arts

  • Experience with the elderly

Providence Seward Medical and Care Center is a 6-bed critical access hospital and 40-bed long term care facility providing quality health care to residents and visitors. Our team of physicians, nurses, and support staff deliver compassionate, quality care to all patients. We care for the patients ranging from infants to the elderly with services including, primary care, emergency, inpatient, swing bed, lab, radiology, therapies and nursing home care.
