Providence Senior Software Development Engineer - Lumedic in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Software Development Engineer - Lumedic to our location in Seattle, WA.

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer - Lumedic to leverage their background to help build a platform that will facilitate interactions between patients, providers and payers, using modern technologies such as AI/ML, distributed ledgers and autonomous cloud-based applications. The Senior SDE should have experience using an object-oriented language (Java/Kotlin, .Net, Python, Node) in an Agile team.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design infrastructure and automated systems to support distributed architecture.

  • Play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables.

  • Help invent new features, design, develop and deploy reliable distributed services.

  • Spend time analyzing, designing, and developing software that delivers clean, maintainable code.

  • Learn and grow your skills by working collaboratively with experienced and engaged developers.

  • Tackle challenging situations, and be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects, relish the idea of solving problems.

  • Analyze, design, and develop software that delivers clean, maintainable code within a large, complex, and established code base.

  • Develop SaaS software solutions.

  • Communicate clearly and consistently with team members and clients on an ongoing basis including discussing technical concepts and systems.

  • Learn the healthcare domain necessary to understand client data, methods, and workflows

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar or 4 years experience.

  • 6 years professional software development experience with server-side, web-based technologies (full stack preferred).

  • 3 years experience with C#

  • 3 years creating and consuming web services (RESTful).

  • 3 years operating and scripting in a public cloud, preferably Azure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience with a modern programming language (C#/C /Java etc)

  • Full stack software development experience

  • Knowledge of SDLC best practices

  • Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis)

  • Previous experience with CI/CD, telemetry, monitoring, and alerting
