Providence Health & Services Senior Administrative Assistant in Seattle, Washington


Providence is calling a Senior Administrative Assistant to Providence Health & Services in Seattle, WA.

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who is responsible for providing ongoing administrative support services of a multipart nature for a middle management position and/or a group of professionals within Providence Strategic and Management Services. This position performs work that is varied and generally secretarial in nature.

In this position you will:

  • Develop and coordinate daily plans to carry out assigned activities and projects.

  • Coordinate the office of the individual(s) they support. Assure adequate inventory of supplies, timely scheduling of activities, presence and ongoing use of appropriate recordkeeping systems, and effective work flow through the office

  • Perform secretarial functions in support of meetings as assigned. Support activities including preparation of draft agendas; electronic distribution of meeting materials; documentation of meeting discussions, and coordination of follow-up reports as appropriate.

  • Schedule meetings (group and individual); make travel arrangements as necessary.

  • Use word processing software, spreadsheet software, and various presentation software options to complete assignments with timeliness and accuracy.

  • Provide appropriate referrals to matters as they arise or inform their supervisor(s) when a situation warrants direct attention.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • Three years of office experience, including at least one year working directly for a manager

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Previous experience in an administrative assistant position supporting an executive level member

  • Basic knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook (email and calendar), PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Comfortable talking to executives of all levels to include Sr. directors, VPs
