Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (0.0 Shift, Variables) to work in Float Pool at Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, Washington.
The Licensed Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing services as part of the Interdisciplinary Team. In collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team, administers an individualized, comprehensive and Resident centered Plan of Care in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations as may be directed by the Neighborhood Coordinator, Administrator, Director of Clinical Services, Primary Care Nurse or Resident.

In this position you will:
Maintains shift accountability for resident care outcomes.
Administers total, comprehensive resident care to an assigned caseload of residents based on the nursing process and the interdisciplinary care plan.
Independently and interdependently plans, directs, supervises, and evaluates the nursing care of his/her caseload of residents.
Assists the Primary Nurse and team members in carrying out the resident plan of care
Considers the emotional, psychosocial, spiritual and physical aspects of resident strengths and needs.
Assures the resident’s needs and interests predominate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
Includes each resident and his/her family in all aspects of planning and teaching, giving consideration to the individual resident’s strengths and needs.
Contributes to the total plan of care for the resident by:
Making pertinent nursing observations.
Participating in multidisciplinary team care conferences as needed.
Maintains regular and ongoing communication with residents, family, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members and others to ensure 24-hour continuity of care and unified approach by the team for each resident.
Maintains shift decision-making authority for the nursing care delivered under his/her jurisdiction.
Acts as liaison between resident, family, guardian and physician as needed or delegated.
Maintains knowledge of current clinical condition of all residents under his/her jurisdiction.
Check daily the following items, and communicates concerns with appropriate party:
Neighborhood and resident rooms for cleanliness, infection control and neatness.
Each resident for appropriate grooming, hygiene, and apparel.
That Resident Assistant’s duties are being performed as directed.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Licensed nurse - licensed by the State of Washington.
Current CPR certification (New Hires must obtain within 30 days of hire).
Food Handler's Permit (or must obtain within 14 days of hire)
1 yea of Education & Training: LTC geriatric experience.
5 Center Primary Nurse: Teaching experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in Long Term care.
Supervisory experience with nursing assistants (NAC’s).
Experience with an interdisciplinary team.
5 Center Primary Nurse: 3 years direct care experience.
5 Center Primary Nurse: MDS/RAI experience.
