Providence is calling an On Call Registered Nurse (RN) (Assisted Living, Day Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, Washington. In this position you will:

  • Maintains shift accountability for resident care outcomes.

  • interdisciplinary care plan.

  • Independently and interdependently plans, directs, supervises, and evaluates the nursing care of his/her caseload of residents.

  • Assists the Primary Nurse and team members in carrying out the resident plan of care:

  • Considers the emotional, psychosocial, spiritual and physical aspects of resident strengths and needs.

  • Assures the resident’s needs and interests predominate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.

  • Includes each resident and his/her family in all aspects of planning and teaching, giving consideration to the individual resident’s strengths and needs.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all resident information, assures that residents are treated fairly with kindness, dignity, and respect. Also assures that resident choice, independence, and privacy are maintained.

  • Contributes to the total plan of care for the resident by:

  • Making pertinent nursing observations.

  • Participating in multidisciplinary team care conferences as needed.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing degree

  • RN License in Washington State

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (New Hires must obtain within thirty (30) days of hire)

  • Food Handler's Permit (New Hires must obtain within fourteen (14) days of hire)

  • Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills

  • Articulate and responsive to colleagues

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • One (1) year nursing experience in an environment that provides person-directed care
