Providence Health & Services Resident Assistant - Assisted Living in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Resident Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Assisted Living, Variable Shift, 0.0) to Providence Mount St. Vincent, Assisted Living, in West Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
This is an on-call variable shift.
In this position you will:
Assist residents with personal needs per the care plan.
Maintain accurate documentation, observes and communicates changes in resident mental or physical status.
Perform light housekeeping such as making beds and changing linens, emptying trash, dusting, and vacuuming.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Care Aide prior to employment. Non CNAs working in this job prior to January 6, 2012 are exempt from this requirement
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
Experience with older adults or desire to serve older adults in a care-giving role
12 hours of annual Department of Social & Health Services (DSHS) approved continuing education required per WAC 388-112
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Community based experience
Experience with Dementia
