Providence Health & Services Medical Record/Clerical Assistant in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Medical Record/Clerical Assistant (Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence ElderPlace in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Scan medical records & chart notes through OnBase and index into Epic.
Update census in Epic.
Respond to requests for information of clinical records according to policy and procedure. Retrieve records from storage as needed.
Create and fax admit packets.
Create and send DSHS records request to DSHS case workers.
Request records for new enrollees.
Complete Epic registration for new enrollees and scan the intake packets in.
Enter transportation requests in Easy Rides for external appointments.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Previous medical records training or experience, and medical terminology
Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One year of general office experience, preferably in a health care environment
