Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Evening Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Float between Long Term Care and Transitional Care Units at Providence Mount St. Vincent in West Seattle, Washington.
This is an opportunity to work as a collaborative member of the team to provide the elderly the independence they deserve, the right to make their own choices, to respect their privacy, make them feel safe and secure at all times, while maintaining their dignity. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team through a resident directed care model. Your purpose as a caregiver is to promote quality of life and a sense of belonging for the elderly in this wonderful long term care community in West Seattle.
Evening shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm.
In this position you will:
Act as an advocate for patients in maintaining choice, independence, privacy, dignity and security.
Assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan or as directed by the nurse leader on duty.
Have responsibility for providing support and assistance to sub-acute patients and long term care residents, which may include those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Washington
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (New hires must obtain within 30 days of hire)
Food Handler's Permit (New hires must obtain within 14 days of hire)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Prior patient care experience in sub-acute, long term care and/or with Alzheimer’s or Dementia patients
