Providence Health Unit Coordinator (NAC) - Transitional Care Unit in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Health Unit Coordinator/NAC (Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to support Transitional Care at Providence Mount St. Vincent in West Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Manage patient records and accurately transcribe information to the interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
Order supplies for the unit and keeps station stocked and organized.
Communicate with care delivery team any delays that may disrupt services.
Assist with notifications, paperwork, and procedures for admissions, transfers, appointments, transportation, discharges and deaths.
Be responsible for accurate, courteous, and prompt unit communication.
Manage and maintain files and records.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) licensure
One (1) year recent experience as a Health Unit Coordinator or experience in a similar position
Proficiency in medical terminology
Legible handwriting and use of proper grammar
Proficient in computer skills
