Providence is calling a Cook (Per Diem, Evening Shift) to the Food and Nutrition Services Department at Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, WA.
The Neighborhood Cook is responsible for providing seamless customer service in the area of meals/floor stock/nourishment/food preferences. Handles food according to HACCP guidelines and is aware of minimum standards for a quality food service operation. Adheres to standard recipes and plating guidelines. Responsible for accuracy of all assembled meal orders, maintaining par stocks, ordering supplies and rotating product for maximum quality. Interacts with other employees in a friendly and courteous manner. Acts as an effective customer service liaison to all customers and facility departments.

In this position you will:
Responsible for stocking the neighborhood kitchen and maintaining inventory of all food and supplies.
Maintain established standards in the areas of food presentation, recipes, portion control, food security, safety and sanitation.
Plan, develop, control and evaluate food for the neighborhood; Develop cooking methods and recipes.
Oversee cleaning of counters, floors, and all appliances.
Host food activities for neighborhood programs and assists Recreation Therapists and Dietary Hosts with activities involving food.
