Providence Health & Services Chief Medical Officer - Value Based Care in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Chief Medical Officer - Value Based Care to Providence Health & Services in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking a CMO to be responsible for oversight of quality, utilization management and total cost of care for value based contracts. The CMO works closely with regional leadership and providers to create action plans to meet the targets of value based contracts.
Essential Job Function:
Provides guidance for clinical and utilization aspects of value based contracts.
Participates in the analysis of outside UM and quality reports and the development of expense reduction programs related to utilization management at the regional level.
Works collaboratively in a team oriented fashion with the regions and members of the population health leadership team to provide physician leadership, direction and support (when appropriate) to all aspects of VBC initiatives.
Ensures that quality improvement initiatives are widely embraced and utilized by the regional medical staff through consistent communication and monitoring and that the initiatives are regularly evaluated and updated as appropriate.
Provides ongoing consultation with practitioners in the regions related to VBC contract performance and tool.
Participates in the development of standard quality and utilization reports for individual providers and groups across the PSJH regions.
Participates in ambulatory and hospital based clinical quality committees as appropriate.
Provides oversight and leadership to VBC Care Management and Utilization Management team as they support regional initiatives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
2 years of Medical Leadership Experience.
Basic Life Support Certification (upon hire).
ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification
