Providence Health & Services Certified Nursing Assistant - Adult Day Program in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (PACE Adult Day Program, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence ElderPlace in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm. We offer competitive pay and benefits starting day one!
In this position you will:
Provide or assist participants with personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, toileting, oral and denture care, hair and skin, shaving, nail trimming).
Take weight, vital signs and collect specimens as assigned.
Assist with Multi-Purpose room activities as assigned.
Assist with dining area set-up and distribution of meals and snacks as assigned.
Assist with feeding and/or monitoring during meals.
Assist with morning beverage service.
Assist on vans both morning and afternoons as needed.
Help participants to move, turn, get in and out of bed, chair, or wheelchair; and ambulate with or without assistive devices.
Maintain required documentation on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Report all pertinent observations of participants to appropriate medical staff or supervisor.
Help maintain order and cleanliness of the center and its equipment and linens, including disinfecting furniture and other common use items.
Required qualifications for this position include:
10 hours of continuing education yearly
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure
Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Food Handler permit
Required within 120 days of hire
Nurse delegation for nursing assistance training
Mental health specialty training
Dementia specialty training
Fundamentals of Care Giving training
70 hours of basic training
Prior experience in long term care or related geriatric and/or rehabilitative experience
Able to communicate in English clearly orally and in writing
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
Assisted living background
