Respiratory Care Practitioner in the Respiratory Therapy Department at Providence Seaside Hospital located on the beautiful Oregon Coast! This is a 0.6 FTE position that typically works Night shift on weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities in the PHS Respiratory Therapy Department:

  • Perform Respiratory Care Services in accordance with departmental standards, policies and protocols.

  • Under the general direction of the Supervisor, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as ordered by a physician or per therapist driven protocols.

  • Duties include medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, obtaining and analyzing blood specimens, performing patient assessments, electrodiagnostic evaluation (EKG), operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, providing mechanical ventilation (BiPAP, Conventional), maintaining artificial airways, assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, providing patient education, monitoring equipment and patient responses to therapy, and more.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, or equivalent education/ experience

  • Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire

  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire

  • National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics within 90 days of hire
