Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse - House Supervisor in Seaside, Oregon
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - House Supervisor (0.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR.
In this position, you will:
Hold responsibility for the management of the hospital during those hours when the nursing unit managers, other department managers and administration are not in house.
Be in charge of the general operation of the hospital.
Demonstrate a wide range of general nursing and unit specific skills, including application of the nursing process.
Provide leadership for the daily operations of the nursing units.
Lead and develop staff by role modeling professional practice and effective management skills.
Provide input into and helps achieve unit goals.
Support the philosophy of nursing, the goals of the institution, and the mission of Providence health and Services mission and philosophy.
To be a successful House Supervisor, you'll need to be:
Someone who can remain calm in stressful situations
Someone who is able to make decisions quickly and can stick with those decisions
Someone who is very sound in their clinical assessments
Someone with strong IV skills
Someone who can run a code
Someone who has great leadership experience or has the ability to jump into the leadership role.
This individual will back up the ER, OB, ICU and Med Surg and will cover breaks (they don't take a patient load, but do provide patient care as needed). This position is a great way to function in a leadership role, but not have to manage direct reports.
This is an on-call position with a schedule of 6:00pm to 6:00am and working on-call, as needed. This position may have the potential of becoming a full-time role in the future.

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Oregon State Board of Nursing
Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advancaed Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications within 6 months of hire
3 years of Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience or combination thereof
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
