Providence is calling Housekeeping Attendants to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, Oregon. We have full-time 40 hour a week positions. We have day and evening shifts available. Shifts are aligned to a rotating schedule and require weekend and holiday availability. These p ositions start at $13.32 per hour and include a full benefits package.

We are seeking Housekeeping Attendants who will perform cleaning tasks in an assigned area of Providence Health Systems hospitals, medical centers, medical office buildings or satellites to provide a sanitary, orderly and attractive environment. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients, families, staff, and physicians.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Be responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas, and willingly performs routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis despite frequent interruptions
Dust, clean, and disinfect all floors, windows, rooms and other spaces in assigned areas. Insures a clean and safe environment is provided for patients, staff, and visitors
Empty all garbage or trash from assigned areas
Replenishing hand hygiene products, paper products, sharps containers and other dispensable items in designated fashion
Maintain clean and stocked utility cart and janitor closets each shift
Thoroughly cleans and maintains equipment used
Perform specific in-depth cleaning of assigned areas on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis per job duties
Strip, buffs, and waxes all floors as necessary, according to procedures
Shampoo and spot cleans carpets/upholstery as needed
Move furniture and equipment, as needed, for cleaning or site relocation
Demonstrate ability to prioritize workload and follow through appropriately. Completes job duties in a timely manner
Be responsible for washing, folding, and maintaining proper inventories of linen in all departments as assigned
Properly operates machinery required to wash and dry linen
Properly utilizes detergents and cleaners for removing soils and stains from linen
Perform daily cleaning and mopping of the laundry area as assigned
Handle soiled linen from the Dirty Utility Room and laundry area properly to avoid cross-contamination
Remove, launder, and re-hang all curtains and drapes as needed
Demonstrate awareness of the impact of self on others and the ability to respond appropriately
Interact effectively and demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with other members of the health care team. Willingly assists others as needed
Take initiative to problem solve in a positive manner. Understands and adheres to proper channels of communication
Participate in actual and mock fire and disaster drills according to hospital plans
Ensure patient identifiers remain out of the regular waste stream
