Providence is calling a Dietitian to Providence North Coast Clinic at Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR. This is a part-time (0.8 FTE), day shift position. Expected schedule is Monday - Friday starting as early as 7am and going as late as 6pm (will be an 8 hour shift) with occasional weekends.

We are seeking a Dietitian - Providence North Coast Clinic that will use clinical nutrition standards of practice to assess patient nutritional needs; develops and implements sound eating plan to promote optimum nutrition intake and health maintenance. Teaches patient, family, and care providers principles of the nutrition plan, counseling, and motivating patient and clients as needed, taking into account individual patients' special physical- or age-related needs. Assists with the development of ongoing nutrition education programs and literature.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assess patient's current nutritional status and needs in conjunction with physician, health care staff, patients, or families to ascertain best nutrition plan
Develop and implement nutrition care plan to promote optimum nutrition intake and sustain health
Counsel and teach patients, families regarding adherence to the prescribed diet
Monitor ongoing patient nutritional needs, altering diet as necessary to ensure nutrition needs are being met
Document and clearly record plans in patient's medical chart, following standards of care
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition
Qualified internship program in American Dietetic Association registry
