Cook - in The Dietary / Nutrition Service Department at Providence Seaside Hospital located in the beautiful Oregon Coast! This is a 1.0 FTE Full Time position that typically works a Variable shift including days, evenings, and nights during weekdays and weekends.

The cook is responsible to see that meal plans and meals are followed according to Department guidelines and standards. The production and service of non-patient and patient meals, snacks and other food service support services are included in the cook's job responsibilities such as inventory, cleaning work area, dish room assistance, serving meals, and following recipes to menu standards. The cook position provides for and oversees the delivery of meal services to patients and hospital visitors. The cook is responsible for following all safe food handling regulations, practices, and procedures. In the absence of the department manager, the cook may serve as a lead for the unit. The cook may help with on-line ordering of food inventory.

Required qualifications:

  • National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority upon hire

  • National ServSafe Manager Certification - National Restaurant Association within 6 months (180 days) of hire

  • 1 year in Cooking experience
