Providence Health & Services Ultrasound Technologist in San Pedro, California


Providence is calling a per diem, variable shift Ultrasound Technologist to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro, CA.

In this position you will:

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures at a skilled technical level requiring the ability to apply methods for diagnosis.

  • Perform related work as required.

  • Organize, plan and direct activities relating to patients and procedures for designated time and area.

  • Maintain steady workflow ensuring a complete, accurate and timely work product.

  • Demonstrate complete working knowledge of all ultrasonography equipment and computer software necessary to perform studies.

  • Calibrate and perform quality control on imaging systems as required.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • A.A. Degree in Ultrasound Technology or equivalent in approved A.M.A. program

  • Current Basic Life Support ( BLS ) Certification for Healthcare Provider sponsored by the American Heart Association

  • Valid RDMS Certification

  • If new graduate, must complete Physics portion of RDMS certification with 12 months and a specialty within 30 months of graduation
