Providence Health & Services Supervisor, Children's Health Insurance Program OFFER in San Pedro, California
Providence is calling a full time, day shift, Supervisor for Children's Health Insurance Program at the Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro, CA.
In this position you will:
Responsible for oversight of CHIP Community Health Workers to enroll clients into government sponsored insurance programs such as Medi-Cal and Covered CA.
Principal duties include hiring, training, supervising, expense control, and data collection. She is also responsible for coordination of outreach, scheduling events, department statistics and supplies.
Facilitates partnerships with PLCM staff, school districts, churches, clinics, local government and businesses, community groups, funding agencies and community members.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Requires a Bachelors degree.
2-3 years minimum experience working with community groups, employer groups and grant funded projects in a collaborative setting.
CEC required or ability to obtain prior to starting employment.
Current/valid California drivers license.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with individuals or groups the first time that verbal or in person communication occurs.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
At least 1 yr. experience in a supervisory role preferred
Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish)
Working knowledge of Medi Cal and Covered CA eligibility preferred.
