Providence Health & Services RN Clinical Staff Supervisor in San Pedro, California
Providence is calling a ( Full Time/Day Shift) RN Clinical Staff Supervisor to our Pediatrics Department of our Providence Medical Institute location in San Pedro, CA.
In this position you will:
- Be responsible for overseeing direct patient care in the clinic(s) as well as facilitating patient care flow. Works in close collaboration with Director and Practice Manager to ensure competency of clinical and non-clinical caregivers. Mentors and develops clinical caregivers. Ensures all assigned duties are performed in a manner that promotes team concept to reflect the Providence Health & Services mission and philosophy. The RN Clinic Supervisor will assist with maintaining compliance to professional nursing standards as well as regulatory requirements, and will support providers and caregivers in delivering quality health care to patients taking into account the patients' individual physical and/or age-related needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers from the American Heart Association.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Three years Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
Experience developing key relationships within an integrated delivery system such as hospital, health plan and support departments.
Must have the ability to successfully work with Medical Assistants, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Providers in designing, implementing and monitoring key operational initiatives.
Knowledge of health care environment, medical office policies and procedures, general accounting procedures and human resource management practices.
Excellent listening and follow-through abilities and a willingness to accept constructive criticism. Assumes responsibility for own professional growth through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings and workshops.
Requires strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Emergency Room or Urgent Care experience.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records, Windows, and Excel-based software.
