Providence Health & Services Customer Care Representative in Salem, Oregon
Providence is calling a Customer Care Representative to Providence Salem Home Services in Salem, OR.
In this position, you will:
Accurately verify patient insurance eligibility/benefits by:
Processing insurance changes in the Home Medical Equipment (HME) A/R system including revenue adjustments
Equipment rental changes
Processing Certificates of Medical Necessity for all direct and consignment HME orders.
Work within Providence Home Services, which provides provides oxygen, durable medical equipment, medical supplies, nursing and pharmacy services to patients who do not require hospitalization, but need medical equipment to optimize their safety, comfort, and quality of life while at home.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of recent experience in insurance verification, insurance member enrollment, or medical billing or claims processing
3 years of recent experience with computerized data inquiry or data entry required or combination of college/professional business school level training and experience
In compliance with the Providence Health & Services-OR Human Resources policy #302 “Background Checks”, a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
College or professional business courses in medical terminology and International Classification of Diseases, 9th Revision (ICD-9) coding
Experience with multiple applications
Experience in a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company or home health agency
