Providence Health & Services Vice President, Information Services - Community Technologies in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling a Vice President, Information Services - Community Technologies to Providence Health System Office in Renton, WA.
The Vice President, Information Services - Community Technologies is accountable for the overall success of the Providence PSJH Community Technologies Connect program. This leader will partner with the regions to plan for and execute the provisioning of PJSH Technologies and Services (including the Electronic Health Record platform) to non-PSJH provider clinics, non-PSJH hospitals and also Joint Ventures.
The role requires a seasoned technology and business professional with extensive Epic Community Connect experience. Additional background required includes a business development, customer service and financial background along with broad experience in IT governance, P&L management, change control, service delivery and customer service.
In this position you will:
Lead a successful and thriving Community Technologies program.
Continue growth and maturation of both Community Connect and non-Connect technologies.
Create and maintain strong, effective relationships with Providence St Joseph Health regions, Community Connect clients and PH&S system teams and leaders. In partnership with regional leadership, develop and execute regional PSJH Community Technologies strategy.
Effectively lead a successful, efficient and energetic team of Community Connect professionals by creating strong morale, building a community of caring, sharing wins and successes and by defining success in terms of the whole team.
Ensure the continued development of a successful, satisfied customer base.
Retain a strong connection to Epic, optimizing our relationship to ensure the success of the Community Connect program.
Ensure effective governance of the Community Connect program in collaboration with region, system and IS leaders.
Ensure strong and successful business development in alignment with the needs and expectations of the region.
Ensure an effective balance of Community Connect technology services across Providence St Joseph Health regions and Providence shared services.
Develop and nurture strong, collaborative, process-oriented relationships between Providence St Joseph Health departments in support of Community Connect region and client needs.

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
10 years of experience in progressively responsible information technology roles. Experience in a healthcare organization is necessary. Requires a broad exposure to all areas of business management.
7 years of senior management-level experience, with accountability for strategic planning, operations, financial management, and people management/development.
Requires 5 years of experience with Epic and Community Connect.
5 years of experience with budgets and P&L management.
7 years of experience leading enterprise-wide business or IT projects in large organizations.
Requires a deep understanding of EMR provisioning across healthcare organizations, including legal implications, government regulations and physician contracting.
Must understand the business of medicine.
Strong strategic planning ability.
Strengths in relationship building and customer service skills.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Business development, client services or business operations background.
