Providence Senior IS ERP HR Applications Analyst Lead in Renton, Washington


Providence is calling a Senior Human Resource Information System (HRIS) System Analyst Lead .

We are seeking a Senior Human Resource Information System Analyst Lead, with strong Oracle HCM Cloud experience preferred. This role leads an IS Applications team with responsibility for HR set-up data maintenance, HR transaction mass loads, troubleshooting integration errors and other operational functions. This role reports to the IS HR Applications Manager. The role will perform technical and analytical functions for the HR and related areas for complex information system needs. Regularly identify, design and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of human resource and related financial data. Act as the liaison between business teams, application vendors and IS for system integrations, enhancements and issue fixes; Responsible for translating business needs to system design, conduct system/data analysis, and participating in testing and deployment activities. Actively participate in and lead creating audit plans, schedules and testing of system upgrades and new configurations. Analyze data and provides guidance in making employee related decisions.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the IS Operations team supporting Oracle HCM Cloud, Core HR and Compensation modules.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more Oracle HCM Cloud modules/functional areas and actively participate in design, implementation and support of HR systems.

  • Provide hands-on tier 2 or 3 operational support for system or data issues, complex system/process questions, reporting and change requests as needed.

  • Identify, design, implement and maintain system configuration for supported HR systems as prescribed by IS leader(s).

  • Analyze data structures and meet complex information needs through established reports or utilization of various tools and applications to develop new reports for HR and other business users.

  • Work directly with HR communities, technical staff and project teams to identify, analyze, design, test and implement new systems or improvements to existing systems and associated procedures.

  • Act as work stream lead on system projects, feature releases and issue resolutions as needed.

  • Identify improvement opportunities around system, process and user experience, and collaborate with leadership to build options with justification, impacts and data for the approach.

  • Identify, design and document process workflows, system decisions, designs and procedures.

  • Create, document and execute test plans and scripts to validate that system updates are accurate and the system functions as designed.

  • Monitor and maintain security information for HR information systems and identifies need for updating of policies and system security structures.

  • Administer, audit, and monitor HR systems transactions and reports to ensure data integrity, reconcile discrepancies and identify corrective actions needed to improve data quality.

  • Define and organize HR and other user requests for automation of information and systems within all areas of Human Resources. Includes working closely with IS teams in development and implementation.

  • Design and implement interfaces from primary HR systems and coordinate activities, including requirements gathering, data mapping, design specifications, testing and scheduling with IS and vendor teams.

  • Monitor and research system integration issues around data, performance, scheduling and file transmissions. Coordinate and communicate resolution on issues with IS support teams, vendors and business teams.

  • Provide 24 X 7 on-call support during after hours for critical production or project issues and coordinate issue resolution and communication needs across functional and technical teams as needed by HRIS leadership.

  • Provide reviews, assessments and recommendations for tools and technologies used to generate reports or streamline processes.

  • Assist in the development, update and adherence of HR/IS policies, guidelines, templates and procedures.

  • Participate regularly in professional activities to keep abreast of changes and new developments in Human Resources and IS and presents relevant materials to the team.

  • Train and guide junior/new IS analysts in HR/IS operations, system design, processes, procedures and in research/analysis approach as needed.

  • Create and conduct training for super users and core business users on HR/IS applications, including features and procedures

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Human Resources, Computer Science, Business Management, or related field -OR- equivalent education/experience.

  • 5 years experience

  • Demonstrated experience supporting and implementing complex HR and/or payroll systems (e.g. Oracle HCM Cloud).

  • Experience in reporting tools and techniques for HR, payroll and related data for large, complex organizations from multiple systems and sources.

  • Healthcare industry experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • PHR or SPHR certification
